Cr5Mo1V is high-carbon, medium-chromium, micro-deformed air-quenching die steel and alloy tool steel. Cr5Mo1V steel uses imported A2 steel from the United States, and is the most widely used air-hardening steel in Class A.
Steel Grade | C | Si | Mn | P | S | Mo | Cr | V |
Cr5Mo1V | 0.95-1.05 | ≤0.50 | ≤1.00 | ≤0.025 | ≤0.020 | 0.90-1.40 | 4.75-5.50 | 0.15-0.50 |
Good air quenching hardening performance.
High wear resistance, slight deformation, high hardenability and high compressive strength.
The carbide distribution is more even than that of Cr12 steel.
The Cr5Mo1V steel is used for thread rolling die, to process aluminum alloy and copper alloy.
This cold work die steel is suitable for making tough, wear-resistant tools(such as some types of shears) and forming dies, blanking dies, cold punching dies, deep drawing dies, etc.
The Cr5Mo1V steel is used to make drill sleeves, punches, trimming dies, etc.
